Aslockton Station was built by the AMBERGATE, NOTTINGHAM AND BOSTON AND EAST JUNCTION RAILWAY AND CANAL COMPANY. It was opened to the public on 15th July 1850. The AMBERGATE line connected Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire to the Great Northern Station at Grantham. At the time of this photograph (1920) the line and station was operated by the Great Northern Railway Company. In the Station remains open, but unstaffed in constrast to the apparent staffing levels in 1920.
