Public domain 1926
George Potter posing in the doorway of his Post Office and Shop, Main Street, Aslockton in 1926. Eric Barker is holding his bicycle. The child hiding behind the basket is Lewis Smith. The Greyhound public house can be seen on the right (the sign is over the door). The railway crossing gates can been seen in the distance. The shop and the building to the immediate left have now gone. The shop was replaced with a modern brick building which was used as a sorting office, i is now a commercial office. The other properties on the left still exist with the exception of the garage in the far left background.
