Attempted Housebreaking

On Monday, a young man named Samuel Henson, a lobourer, of Aslockton was brought before Mr. G. H. Fillingham, at the Petty Sessions Room, Bingham, charged with attepting to break into the premises occupied by Mrs. Elizabeth Brown, of Aslockton shopkeeper, on Sunday night last.

P. c. Richmond proved arresting the prisoner, upon whom a knife was found, with which it was alleged, he had attempted to take out a pane of glass in the window. The prisoner had been disturbed during his attempt to take out the glass.

Supt. Downing asked for a remand, which was granted.

Prisoner admitted his guilt, and stated that he was in drink at the time.
